What a unique view, from above !  

and the iceing on the cake was that I got to take a copter ride over the 12 Apostles... what a way to end 2006 !  

great beach !

Although we had been to the 12 Apostles before, it was the first time we visited the site in Summer, and we even got to walk down to a protected beach to take a quick dip. Being summer, and being in close proximity to farmland, flies were taking special interest in the tourists...  

After driving about 300km we reached the "Twelve Apostles" national park... one of the most splendid views on earth.

Some even skipped a turn to catch their breaths... while Johannie & Gladys stolled casually on the beach.

Early morning Lifesaver classes

the trainees had to run to the waves, paddle as fast as they could to a marker and paddle back to the shore...  

Even though it was an early morning on a Sunday, there were 3 classes of Life savers going on, on the beach...

Torquay, Victoria

What a great way to end the year 2006, than to experience the Great Ocean drive, South West of Melbourne... Our journey starts at Torquay, an Australian surfers magnet
